Preserve Turtle, Double Gold Award were Achieved

The Maticgator (Automatic Turtle Egg Incubator) Team of Universitas Brawijaya (UB) successfully won the achievement in International Engineering Invention & Innovation Exhibition (i-Envex 2018) Universiti Malaysia Perlis on 11-15 April 2018. The team managed to bring home Double Gold Award and Special Award from Korea for its innovation in the field of Environmental Machines and Equipment.

Led by Firmansyah Putra Satria (Electrical Engineering 2015), Vani Dwi Febrian (Vocational 2016), Vita Lutfiah (Vocational 2016), and Vinna Agustina Winata (FIB 2016) all teams leave for Malaysia for presentation. Seminar dan Workshop IoT for Future Technology

workshop IoT HMEDivisi Mikrokontroler Workshop Himpunan Teknik Elektro (HME) Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB) menyelenggarakan Seminar & Training Internet of Things (IoT) untuk umum.  Mengusung tema Real Time Applied Science with IoT, acara berlangsung di Ruang sidang Teknik Mesin (FTUB) selama dua hari, 24-25 Maret 2018.

Hadir membuka acara keempat rangkaian Dies Natalis HME FTUB Ke-38 ini, Ketua Program Studi S1 Teknik Elektro FTUB, Ali Mustofa, ST., MT. Setelah pembukaan acara dilanjutkan dengan pengenalan tentang mikrokontroler dan peripheral lainnya serta seminar. Bee Venom Harvester UB Won Silver Medal

Bee venom is believed to have efficacy in medicine and beauty. Some are using bee venom as an alternative medicine to cure cancer or use it as cosmetic ingredients. The conventional harvesting of bee venom by killing the bee itself is not very effective.

Taking that into account, Ariq Kusuma Wardana (Electrical Engineering FT) with his three friends; Muhaammad Khuzain (Electrical Engineering FT), Mohammad Euro Anwarudin (FAPET), and Guruh Prasetyo (FAPET) created B-VETRACE (Bee Venom Harvester Device), an Innovative Bee Venom Removal Tool with Wave Electrical Method Integrated with Solar Cell.

Guided by Eka Maulana, ST., MT., M.Eng., the team made this tool to be self-generating energy, that is by utilizing solar cell. “We use the solar cell to run the B-VETRACE system, Basically the tool will emit a certain sound so that the bee thinks of it as a predator so that the bees will release venoms that will be accommodated on the collector in the tool,” said Team Leader Ariq. AT-B Team Brings Home Medal & Award from IPITEX 2018 Thailand

ATBThe team of AT-B (Aero Techno Boat) from Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FTUB) managed to gain achievement at Bangkok International Intellectual Property, Invention, Innovation and Technology Exposition (IPITEX) 2018. The team succeeded in bringing home the Bronze Medal and Genius Award from Singapore with innovation in the field of sustainable energy.

Led by Yusril Fatahilmi (Electrical Engineering 2016), Ubaid Ikbar Najib Nur Fauzi (Electrical Engineering 2016), Elok Paikoh (Agriculture 2015), and Vita Lutfiah (Vokasi 2016), all teams depart to Bangkok for a presentation (2-6/Feb/2018). Under the guidance of Eka Maulana, S.T., M.T. M. Eng, Team AT-B competes with 500 other teams. They are high school students, college students, lecturers, researchers, and general innovators from 20 countries across the continent. Among others; Indonesia, Malaysia, Arab Emirates Union, Poland, Korea, Philippines, Taiwan, and others.

IoT 2017Di era di mana internet sudah merambah hampir seluruh aspek kehidupan masyarakat, maka Jurusan Teknik Elektro Fakultas Teknik Universitas Brawijaya mengadakan  IoT (Internet of Things) Design Contest and Workshop. Tujuan kegiatan ini adalah agar Mahasiswa teknik elektro memiliki wawasan yang luas mengenai Internet of Thing serta dapat mengaplikasikannya dalam kehidupan sehari-hari. Internet of Things (IoT) Dissemination

(22 / Oct / 2017), IEEE (Institute for Electrical and Electronics Engineers) UB Student Branch successfully held Dissemination and Workshop of Internet of Things . In collaboration with Power Systems Engineering and Energy Management Research Group (PSeeMRG), the event entitled “Pervasive Innovation Begins Here” invites 2 keynote speakers; M. Aziz Muslim, ST, MT, Ph.D and Eka Maulana, ST, MT, M.Eng., MIAENG, MIEEE.

In his speech as well as his keynote speech, Aziz Muslim Ph.D who is also chairman of the UB Electrical Engineering Department, said that this is the event of IEEE UB Student Branch after IEEE Colloquium. In the future, this event will held a series of event ends with Idea Exhibition from the participants.

Cahaya di Pesisir Malang Selatan

Rumah pohon yang sudah terpasang lampu dari listrik yang dihasilkan solar cell adalah salah satu fasilitas yang bisa dinikmati pengunjung untuk menginap di Pantai Sendiki.

Pagi menjelang siang Sutikno bersama kolega-koleganya bersiap memasang Photovoltaic (PV)/ Solar Cell atau panel surya di jalan setapak menuju Pantai Sendiki, Desa Tambakrejo, Kecamatan Sumbermanjing Wetan, Kabupaten Malang, Jawa Timur, Jumat (8/9/2017). Ketua kelompok sadar wisata (Pokdarwis) Sendiki Singo Lelono ini memasang batang-batang pohon yang akan digunakan sebagai tiang penyangga solar cell agar bisa menyerap sinar matahari dengan maksimal sebagai energi listrik.

Kembangkan Potensi Daerah, UB Hibahkan Panel Surya Ke Warga Pantai Sendiki

Project listrik tenaga surya UB di Pantai Sendiki ini dilaksanakan melalui kegiatan Pengabdian Masyarakat dengan tema Difusi Teknologi Piranti Konversi Energi Surya untuk Pemberdayaan Masyarakat Kawasan Pesisir Pantai Sendiki. Pengembangan program ini diwujudkan melalui pemasangan instalasi sepuluh set panel surya masing-masing 100 Wp dan 50 Wp di kantor balai desa dan berbagai titik sekitar Pantai Sendiki.

Eka Maulana selaku tim pelaksana memaparkan bahwa pengabdian masyarakat ini sebagai upaya untuk mendukung ketahanan listrik dan perkembangan ekonomi warga Pantai Sendiki yang selama ini tidak mendapatkan pasokan listrik dari PLN.

“Kegiatan ini dilakukan sebagai upaya untuk memajukan wisata pantai sehingga dapat meningkatkan perekonomian warga pesisir melalui pemanfaatan sumber daya alam terbaharukan,” tuturnya.

ia juga menambahkan bahwa kotak hubung panel surya ini dirancang sendiri oleh tim pelaksana. Terbuat dari acrylic, kotak ini dapat mencegah terjadinya korosi yang notabene sering terjadi pada besi di daerah pesisir pantai.

IEEE Colloquium Supports Energy Security

Energy is the world crucial issue. The increased of energy demand caused by population growth and depletion of the world’s oil reserves and fossil fuel emissions issues demand that humans should immediately produce and use renewable energy. Answering this challenge, Department of Electrical Engineering (TE), Faculty of Engineering Universitas Brawijaya (FT-UB) held a Colloquium on Saturday (26/Aug/2017).

This Colloquium’s presented by Powers Systems Engineering and the Energy Management Research Group in cooperation with the UB Student Branch Institute of Electrical and Electric Engineers (IEEE). Held in the TE 1.6 Classroom, this annual seminar features three speakers; Prof Arif Nur Afandi ST MT MIAEng MIEEE PhD, Ir Hadi Suyono ST MT PhD IPM, and Eka Maulana ST MT MEng.
